About Our Founder
Originally from Guyana, Yonika now calls Brooklyn home. Prior to starting Little Creatives, Yonika spent a decade working as a nanny and art instructor. She holds a degree in Fashion and Design from the Art Institute of New York and currently instructs children's art classes in New York City.
Yonika's passion for education and creativity motivates her to help children reach their full potential. She believes that through art, children can discover their unique strengths and talents. Yonika's teaching philosophy is holistic, incorporating play, mindfulness, and environmental education. She understands that by providing children with the necessary tools to create, explore and express themselves, they can develop both personally and emotionally.
When Yonika isn't working, she relishes spending time with her loved ones, immersing herself in nature, cooking and savoring delicious meals, creating art, and listening to good music.
